The Shiva mining kit consists of two modules. The first is the light mining beam, which attaches to Shiva’s forward module socket. The second is the ore cargo mount, which attaches to the rear cargo/utility socket. For more information on modules see the Module Manual.

Once the modules are mounted, mining is accomplished by aiming the beam at an asteroid within 32m and holding down the trigger to collect ore .

Once full, the ore cans will make a buzzing sound. You can also watch the meter on the top of the cans to tell how full they are.
Once the cans are full, you can detach the cans to make emptying them easier. You may move cans around if you have access by standing near them and touching them to lift or drop.
