Powered by a Stellar Systems A05-DPT (Dense Particle Thruster), and with a top speed of 30 m/sec, the Grendel is maneuverable enough to hold its own in a chase. But it’s not a dog-fighter, it’s a plow!
Typically used as a first wave fighter pushing through escort craft to pound enemy convoys, its heavy armor and powerful twin Nobel Plasma Cannons have earned it the nickname “Hell Hammer”. In addition to its devastating cannons the Grendel is armed with two High Frequency Pulse Lasers. What they lack in punch they make up for in high rate of fire and accuracy.
The Grendel was one of the first ships to come out of the Solide ship yards. It played a major role in the liberation of Pangaea making it a favorite of the Brotherhood of Sol and Lumus Imperium. It is also a top prize among Pirate clans who are skilled enough to capture one. Grendel’s prowess under fire has made it much feared, even inspiring poems.
From the pitch black heart of the void came a growl. The rumble of Grendel’s hunger. As its cannons pound out their terrible rhythm on deaths drum, cowards flee and the brave become vapor beneath Hells Hammer.
